(7 innings but 5 innings constitute a game)
NOTE: In Pee Wee and under fastball series, there is a mercy rule of 15 runs after 5 or more innings.
In Lassie/Squirt fastball series , runs scored are limited to 7 runs per inning and a mercy rule of 15 runs after 5 or more innings.
In Atom fastball series , runs scored are limited to 5 runs per inning and a mercy rule of 15 runs after 5 or more innings .
In Pee Wee and under fastball series ,there is a time limit of 90 minutes except the finals which has a time limit of 2 hours. No new inning to start after time limit unless the score is tied. Any inning started before the time limit expired must be completed providing conditions permit.
NOTE: New inning starts when the 3rd out of preceding inning is made.
NOTE: Teams Midget age and under the offensive players must use a helmet with cages.
In Atom and Lassie /Squirt , the batter is out on a third strike whether catcher catches the ball or not. Ball remains alive.
Atom and Lassie/Squirt use the free substitution rule (everyone bats). Runs scored are limited to 5 per inning in Atom and 7 per inning in Lassie/Squirt . The 7th inning and /or subsequent innings to be open if reached before the time limit.
FREE SUBSTITUTION :All players in the lineup bat and are substituted freely defensively. Players arriving late ,sign the convenors sheet and then are added to the bottom of the lineup.
Players injured are removed from the lineup without penalty, but may not re-enter the game.
The defensive conference rule (Rule 1Xq) is in effect.
Atom divisions continue as in the past : only exception “Infield fly not in effect”.
